TEDxBrighton is returning in October with a title of “Many Hands”.

The talk will explore connectivity, convergence and community, and how the prevalence of technology and social networks can leave us feeling more isolated.

It will look at how “In a world surrounded by screens, we are driven to desire the physical”.

It will be held at the Dome Concert Hall on Friday, October 31.

An ideas lab will run in the Dome foyer throughout the day and aims to be a soapbox for the best groundbreaking inventions, designs and new technologies.

Producer Sam Orams said: “We’re incredibly excited about this year’s event. With our move to a bigger space, 2014 is the year that TEDxBrighton comes of age.

“Brighton and Hove has a fascinating and complex network of communities, be they creative, academic, geographic or culture driven so we’re thrilled to be celebrating the people that make our city so vibrant.”

Tickets are planned for release in early August.

Hopeful attendees can register their interest for tickets now by visiting www.tedxbrighton.com and joining the mailing list.
