One of the UK’s most stylish retail brands has opened in Brighton.

Oliver Bonas, known for its exclusive womensware, handcrafted jewellery and eye-catching accessories, opened yesterday in 14 Bond Street.

Already a British success story with 43 stores across the country, the firm’s Brighton store replaces the Aird & Co tool shop, which has been trading on the site since 1880, after its owner Bob Carey retired.

Oliver Bonas was established by entrepreneur Oliver Tress, who turned his love for buying interesting and unusual gifts on his travels into a successful British independent business, opening the first shop in Fulham, London in 1993.

He said: “It’s been our ambition to come to Brighton for some time now.”
