The president of The Brighton and Hove Estate Agents Association has pledged to support charity and drive up industry standards.
Julie Frith, managing partner of Mishon Mackay Land and New Homes, will be welcomed at a landmark annual ball.
She said: “I am so thrilled to be elected. This is a wonderful occasion to celebrate our industry, and I am going to make sure it delivers on every level.
“I am delighted to lead a talented team at Mishon Mackay, and this is a time when our colleagues, associates and fellow agents across the city come together for a spirited evening to celebrate their own teams, forge new friendships and network.”
Julie plans to support local charities and improve industry standards during her year-long tenure.
With property a vital part of the city’s economy, the association dinner is a unique opportunity to combine fun and fundraising.
Julie added: “Brighton has been attracting new residents for over 200 years and the city’s identity is always evolving.
“We have a very well-informed population who embrace contemporary style, but also treasure the city’s heritage. I regard it as a great honour and privilege to be elected by my peers to represent Brighton and stand as its representative for 2015.”
The ball takes place on February 6 at The Grand hotel and will be hosted by Hove comic Simon Evans.
