A councillor helped begin a new chapter in a pub’s history by pouring the first pint.
Labour councillor Jeane Lepper cranked out the first pint at the new-look Fiveways following its £150,000 transformation.
The Brighton pub, formerly known as the Stanmer Park Tavern, was reopened earlier last month.
The bar has been completely revamped inside and out and customer will be able to enjoy a new menu.
Denis Krawczyk, general manager at the Spirit Pub Company owned venue, said: “It was great to have Councillor Jeane Lepper join us for the opening of the pub.
“The opening night was a real success with great feedback from regulars and visitors alike on the delicious menu and the fantastic interiors.”
