A TECH business has opened a new headquarters in Brighton to tap into its local talent.

Applied Systems, which develops connectivity, data exchange and automation between insurers and brokers, has moved into Invicta House in Trafalgar Place.

The new location will serve as a central hub for Applied Systems’ expanding business in the UK.

Reid French, chief executive officer of Applied Systems, was in Brighton last week to launch the new office.

He said: “As the global insurance marketplace continues to evolve, insurers and brokers are leveraging leading-edge digital technology to further differentiate their business and customer service models and drive business growth.

“We are pleased to open our new UK headquarters, which will support our growing business, new product innovation and expanded customer relations in the UK, building on our commitment to the UK marketplace to ensure brokers and insurers gain the greatest value from their technology investments.”

The Brighton office has about 60 employees.

Applied works with independent brokers to help streamline their businesses by increasing digital consumer engagement and automating the communication between their office and insurers.

It also works with insurers on insurance quoting, rating and policy binding.

Worldwide, it is the largest provider of brokerage management systems and automates the insurance lifecycle for more than 140,000 insurance professionals, 12,000 brokers and 350 insurers worldwide.

Applied acquired Insurecom in August of 2013 and in February 2014 opened a new data centre to support increased demand for cloud-based software.

At the same time, the company introduced Applied CSR24, a self-service mobile app, to increase multichannel servicing and allow workforces to become more mobile.
