THERE is just one week left to enter the Brighton and Hove Business Awards – in association with The Argus.

Now in their eleventh year, the BAHBAs are firmly established as the city’s premier business awards scheme.

Designed to raise awareness and to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of Brighton & Hove, the BAHBAs acknowledge and celebrate those companies, organisations and individuals who are helping to build the Brighton brand.

Previous winners include a mix of start-ups and sole traders, as well as some of the city’s largest and most influential organisations including Duke of York’s, Infinity Foods, Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, The Grand Brighton, Dockerills, Brighton Pride, The Gingerman Restaurant Group, BrightonandHoveJobs.com, Dental Health Spa, Ambiental, Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival, American Express Community Stadium, Brighton Festival and the University of Sussex.

Caraline Brown, managing director of awards organiser Midnight Communications, said: “What really makes the BAHBAs stand out is the quality of the judging panel which features some of the leading companies and organisations in the city including the Chamber of Commerce, Brighton & Hove City Council, Brilliant Brighton, the Brighton Business Curry Club, Brighton and Hove Food Festival and Brighton & Hove Tourism Alliance. They are truly independent.”

Fiona Graves, events director at Midnight and BAHBAs organiser, said: “With the deadline for entries to this year’s Brighton and Hove Business Awards fast approaching, this is the last opportunity for businesses and organisations from across the city to apply.

“Winning an award can really make a difference as both a great marketing tool and a source of employee pride in the company. I would encourage everyone to enter and shout about our great Brighton businesses.”

Mike Gilson, editor of The Argus and chair of the awards, added: “The Brighton and Hove Business Awards have been celebrating the brightest, most successful and most unique businesses from across the City for the last decade.

“The leaders that drive these businesses demonstrate that combining passion and business nous with fun and individuality can be a real recipe for success. It is Brighton and Hove’s personality that puts it among the UK’s favourite cities, and that personality is reflected in our business community.”

Four new sponsors have been announced for this year’s Awards – RBS, Dental Health Spa, Brighton and Hove Buses and TSS Facilities.

Established line up of returning sponsors include Allied Irish Bank, Cardens Accountants, City Cabs, Gatwick Airport, Gemini Print, Graves Jenkins, Martin Searle Solicitors, Robinson Low Francis, and Yelo Architects.
