BRIGHTON and Hove Albion centre forward Glenn Murray and striker Anthony Knockaert popped into the new-look Donatello in The Lanes at Brighton for pizza and coffee following the restaurant’s makeover.
The Addis Family, who are Seagulls supporters and own and run Donatello, have created a fresh, contemporary style with leather booths, slick tiling and wood panelling as well as a new-look decked roof terrace and a new wine room for events and tastings.
Sue Addis said: “It was great to see the lads here for lunch and we welcome them and the team back any time.
“We are so pleased with the refurbishment, which we think looks fantastic thanks to our architects, builders, tilers and conservatory construction team.
“Alongside our new look, we have kept the same values that are so important to us, offering delicious, home-cooked Italian food at great value prices - perfect for families, football fans, shoppers, theatre goers and everyone in between.”
The Donatello team used the expertise of local businesses, with Shaws of Brighton building the conservatory, JB Tiling Ltd doing the tiling.
The architect was Sybille Haefliger of Chalk Architecture, Brighton.
