ROB Allum has returned to the newly-refurbished Crowne Plaza Felbridge in East Grinstead as head chef following four years working at top hotels in the Middle East.

Before travelling Rob spent a year at the Felbridge Hotel and Spa, as the Crowne Plaza was then called, and was previously employed by Exclusive Hotels.

He brings with him a wealth of culinary expertise and he has created a new menu for guests dining in the hotel’s Bay Tree restaurant.

His dishes reflect the wonderful authentic flavours which he experienced while working alongside chefs from more than 60 countries at the Sixth Senses Resort in Oman and Grand Hyatt in Dubai.

A launch night is taking place on June 19 and this is open to the public.

Everyone is invited to a special launch night in the Bay Tree restaurant on Monday, 19th There is a special offer that when you buy a main course the starter and dessert are free.

Plus there is a free glass of chilled champagne on arrival.

There are small plates to share and whet the appetite such as grilled flatbread with hummus, crispy Cajun whitebait and marinated olives.

Starters include duck rillette with onion jam and tempura king prawns.

For mains there are seven dishes to choose from such as pan roasted sea bass, crisp chicken with parmesan and Parma ham.
