SHOREHAM Port has revealed it has a number of job vacancies.
Nicky Goldsbrough, director of corporate services, said the port is a significant employer in the area and continues to expand.
She said: “A host of interesting roles have become available as a result of the port growing, to meet the needs of its customer base.
“We are delighted to be able to build on the skills and expertise that we already have in place and are pleased to have a range of exciting opportunities available.
“We have had a lot of interest in the roles so far and as an employer of choice in the area we are optimistic this will continue.”
Current vacancies are for a plant mechanical fitter, marine pilot, engineering operative, assistant port engineer, assistant network engineer, marine operations assistant and a part-time receptionist for the newly-acquired Business Services Centre, Maritime House.
The port has more than 100 staff.
It also acts as a catalyst for other employment opportunities across the vast estate for an estimated further 1,600 people.
