Your questions answered

Does it cost anything?
The Argus Community Websites are totally FREE and offer an easy, non-technical way for individuals and non-profit organisations in the many communities across, Brighton, Hove and Sussex to gain a presence on the internet through this website. All you need is a PC with internet access (you will, of course, have to pay your own phone bills).

Who is eligible to sign up?
Apart from individuals, all non-profit making organisations in Brighton, Hove and Sussex, including:

  • Schools
  • Charities
  • Youth clubs
  • Sports clubs
  • Village committees
  • Churches and religious groups
  • Residents' groups
  • Housing associations

Who builds and maintains the website?
We build and provide the site and you provide the content. The more people in your community who take part, the better the pages will be. You can add what's on information about forthcoming events and even a diary or events calendar, reports of events that have been held, live links to other sites of interest, a guest book and even online voting polls.

How do I get going?
You will be given a password and log-on details. We recommend having a look at other sites first, then print off the simple step-by-step user guide. You also need to read and agree to the terms and conditions.

Send us a story
If you have an event coming up or a good story to do with your club, why not send us details. It will be considered for publication in The Argus, both in-paper and online. Simply email us at webmaster@theargus.co.uk.

If you have any further questions email us at webmaster@theargus.co.uk.
