There will also be fun games and activities, the chance to have a massage, listen to music, see cookery demonstrations and learn some gardening skills – A delicious, free lunch will also be on offer! Come along for all or part of the day – Everyone welcome.

Self-health event for carers

The Carers Centre for Brighton & Hove, in association with the Healthy Living Centre are organising a Self-Health Course for carers living in East Brighton. With carers commonly experiencing stress and health issues themselves, this course is an opportunity for carers to meet with others and consider how they maintain their own health and wellbeing. Participants will be encouraged to consider what keeps them well as individuals and each session will involve a practical session from a specialist facilitator on self-massage and stress management. The two-day course takes place on February 4th & 11th at the Whitehawk Inn on Whitehawk Road(1pm - 4.30pm on both days) Call The Carers Centre on (01273) 234045 to book your place.

The black and mixed parentage family group, MOSAIC, are running a "Health and Well-being Project" for young people at The Bridge Education and Community Centre, Lucraft Road, Moulsecoomb. They are holding classes for 7-12 year olds and their parents/carers to learn how to cook healthy foods from other cultures. You will be a chef, making your own recipes, and you can then teach others.
