A film shoot took place today (Oct 20th) on Madeira Drive beach near to the Banjo Groyne, when Burberry Plc rolled up with large lorries to spend two days photographing next year’s collection. The beach was closed for awhile.

In bright sunlight, the young male models shivered in the shiny blue suits on the pebbles and the size zero females got warmed-up by portable gas heaters.

Burberry has a world-wide presence, with shops in London and Manchester. Though none in Brighton, it was the pebbles that attracted the photographers to choose Kemp Town Beach. That and the easy parking.

The advertisements should appear soon. None of the pictures for this article will be used, of course, as the lighting technician helpfully gesticulated.
