Beaufort Terrace and Reservoir Pump House
An application to erect a 40 foot mobile phone mast at the top of Islingword Road Reservoir has been dropped.
Properties surrounding the covered reservoir in Beaufort Terrace, Cobden Road and Doctor's surgeries were invited to comment on May 4th but the application was withdrawn on June 1st. The mast, to be used by O2 and Vodaphone, was intended to improve reception in the area.
The 12.5 metre high telegraph pole style mast in front of the reservoir pump house containing 6 telecommunication aerials might have been seen to have been too high for some people. Others might have welcomed the distinctive Futuristic charm of the mast, complementing the various steeples and towers in the area.
The application was fully compliant with Public Exposure Guidelines.
