Historic buildings across Lewes will be open to the public from September 6 to 9.
This year’s Heritage Open Days event in the area, organised by the Friends of Lewes, includes guided tours of all three tiers of local government, with County Hall, Lewes House and Lewes Town Hall taking part.
New additions to the day include Lewes Old Grammar School, which is celebrating its 500th anniversary, along with W F Bruce, the historic clockmaker where the Market Tower clock was restored and is currently being stored.
Bill Bruce, 52, of W F Bruce in North Street, said: “It’s an opportunity for people to see the clock up close and personal.”
