Seahaven FM is now back on air after confusion at BT caused their broadband connection to fail.

The station based in Saxon Lane, Seaford had been transmitting 24 hours a day for more than two years when there was a mix up between two similar addresses in the area. Nick Mallinson, Managing Director of Seahaven FM said: “It seems that one of our neighbours had ordered a number of phone lines from BT who mistakenly installed these new residential numbers on Seahaven FM's office phone lines. This meant Seahaven FM's office numbers were removed and our Broadband went with it.”

Broadcasts are currently transmitted via the internet only and cover the Seaford, Newhaven and Peacehaven areas.

Nick said he hoped the station would be transmitting to radio by Christmas 2010 and that local drivers would start tuning in. He said he wanted to make public all the events that are going on in the local area. “If I can reach only one percent of all the cars that pass Seaford along the A259, I’ll be happy.” He said.
