The Festival brochure cover is always striking if not universally loved - and this year is no exception.
The lime green background features an eye-catching illustration of a black sheep.
But far from being a random inclusion, the animal reflects the guest director's view of festivals.
Michael Johnson, of designers Johnson Banks, explained: “When we were discussing the theme for the 2014 Festival, a recurring motif was a sheep.
“Partly because Sun (one of Hofesh Shechter's shows) features cut-out sheep, carefully choreographed across the stage, and also because we felt a black sheep nicely mirrored his outsider's view of the world we live in.
“Visualising a black sheep whose fur turns into dancers proved to be very difficult.”
That task was down to established illustrator Chris Kasch. He spent many hours on the design in which he is said to have suffered multiple migraines.
