Despite not having TV or radio coverage, Boyce Avenue are currently on their sixth European tour since the band formed in 2004.

The three brothers, Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel, are best known for their YouTube videos, which have more than one billion views.

Opening for the band was Ebony Day, another YouTube favourite, who performed a mix of covers and original songs, including an emotional song about a child the singer lost when she was 18.

Next on stage was Nick Howard, who, originally from Hove, won The Voice in Germany in 2012. He told the crowd it was great to be back in “Hove actually” after attending the church as a youngster.

Opening with some of their original material, Boyce Avenue quickly found pace when they began playing a number of their famous covers, including Bruno Mars’s Locked Out Of Heaven, Avicii’s Wake Me Up, Dynamite’s We Found Love and more.

With each song, the audience sang along note for note for an acoustic session that felt intimate and personal.

The lack of alcoholic bar facilities did little to stifle the atmosphere as people relished the opportunity to watch one of YouTube’s biggest hits in such surreal surroundings.
