"A man's reach should exceed his grasp - everyone now embrace each other!"

Stephen Fry's closing words were perfect to sum up the launch event for his new book More Fool Me, the third part of his autobiography.

A master of words and clever puns, Stephen Fry live carried his usual quirky, larger-than-life attitude all the way. The launch was streamed into cinemas around the world from London's Southbank Centre.

From the first moment on stage he had everyone wrapped around his little finger. His greeting every country in their native language and reviving a sketch about mobile phones in Germany, formerly seen on QI, had the auditorium in tears of laughter.

Stephen Fry lived up to his reputation, delivering a captivating and inspiring talk about the more or less serious matters of his life and career, of feeling different and other, all while praising human diversity and inventiveness.

Be it gossip involving various members of the royal family on New Year's Day or the more somber topic of Fry's addiction to cocaine, the audience's reaction left no doubt that they were enjoying themselves immensely.

It was a night full of grandeur, of Oscar Wilde and, essentially, the real Stephen Fry.
