Tenors Un Limited, or the ‘rat pack of opera’, set about an eclectic crossover concert with a deal of charm, energy and enthusiasm at Theatre Royal Brighton.
It would have to be a very curmudgeonly listener to complain that Bizet’s Pearl Fisher duet is for two voices, not three, or that Leoncavallo’s Mattinata is normally a solo.
Jem Sharples, Scott Ciscon and Paul Martin romped through a vastly entertaining vocal hit-list: best in show were songs built for microphones such as Bernstein’s Something’s Coming or Bob Dylan adapted by Adele but their own arrangements were original and effective.

The classically trained trio have been touring, recording and performing for ten years and have made their mark as alternative singers with a sense of humour and a pantomime style of audience engagement.
Don’t ever sit in the front row.
