I certainly didn't imagine I'd be telling a complete stranger about a memorable sexual encounter as part of How Was It For You?

The creators had warned it was 'gently interactive' but that was a slight understatement.

As well as revealing their own sex stories the audience was asked to re-tell the experiences of others while holding a red rose.

These tasks took place in between sketches performed by Angela Clerkin and Christian Roe who also revealed like-for-like experiences.

Created by Kefi Chadwick and Mark Maughan, this show was specially developed for a preview performance in Brighton.

The small audience of no more than 25 - offered a glass of wine and heart shaped chocolate on entry - was quite cleverly in-keeping with the theme of intimacy.

The buzz of the unknown, particularly where the activities were concerned, could mirror the theme of having sex with someone for the first time.

Much of the evening focused around the notion that being intimate with someone takes place in our own heads - and what goes on in there is impossible to know unless we talk about it.

The experiences I was forced to re-live were ones I hadn't spoken of before to anyone.

But I still don't know what their meaning was, whether the intimacy ever existed and if it did, whether it was genuine or shared.

I'm still not convinced it matters.

It certainly spiced up your average Tuesday evening, but how was it for me? Honestly?

I'm not quite sure.
