The musical theatre star, double Olivier Award-winner and multi-platinum recording artist did not disappoint with a quality night of song.

An eclectic mix of new and old songs, ballads and musical numbers, the set showed off Ball’s versatility as a performer.

It managed to showcase tracks from his latest album, If Everyone Was Listening, but not at the expense of crowd-pleasing favourites from his extensive back catalogue.

Backed by a talented live band and singers, Ball’s rich velvety vocals soared during the lively rendition of Can’t Stop The Beat from Hairspray and produced spine-tingles with Eurovision hit One Step Out Of Time.

Almost thirty years since his West End debut playing Marius in Les Miserables, his voice has matured and sounds better than ever. His version of Empty Chairs At Empty Tables (from Les Miserables) was stunning and a highlight of the evening.

He clearly loves singing and built a real rapport with the audience through some fun interaction and honest anecdotes.

The note perfect finale of his signature song Love Changes Everything was a beautiful, emotionally-charged performance.

Ball proved himself to be an impressively talented and versatile singer who is almost unrivalled when it comes to belting out show tunes.
