Kano’s got a new banger. In fact he has got a whole new album full and a load of old ones too.

Sometimes going to a gig can lead you to lament the impression that people only go to shows to take pictures and bad quality video.

The first stop of Kano’s latest tour at Concorde2 provided a welcome antidote to that feeling.

It was raucous, wild and fun. Kano’s most recent hits New Banger and 3 Wheels Up got endless reloads as impromptu pits sprung up all over the floor. Glorious.

However this was not just a bruising slug-fest.

The east Lononder does not just scream or mumble into the mic. Kano’s delivery is perfect. From elocution to flow he was on point all night.

He was even the right level of embarrassed when he played soppy pop single Nite Nite.

Made In The Manor, the grime artist’s new album is stacked and has more than enough material to fill a set on its own. However old favourites like P’s & Q’s and Mic Check 1-2 were lauded to the rafters.

Set closing GarageSkankFREESTYLE provided a perfect full stop and ensured no one could leave disappointed.
