The King Provider line-up at this unique event, where three bands played between midnight and 2am, followed by DJs, was spot-on.

Lebeaux were the clear headliners but there were no weak links, and the concert could be enjoyed from beginning to end.

Smooth soul artist Giorgia-May opened the live show. An exceptional singer songwriter backed by a quality band, she is already building a following on the Brighton circuit.

The next band, Paradolia, moved towards funkier territory. Their set was made by their lead-singer, a fearless performer and powerful vocalist.

Despite being just a few months old, Lebeaux have already played on local radio and festival main stages. It sounds like they are on the up.

The seven-piece line up played an original and eclectic blend of soul, funk and RnB - but elements of rock and synth-pop periodically crept in. Each member brought something distinctive to the blend from the jacked-up bass to the fierce backing vocals.

They were unified behind frontman Turrell Lebeaux, an intuitive and organic performer who had the crowd eating out of his hand.

A fitting climax to a great line-up. This should be the first of many such King Provider late-night events at the Rialto.
