THE DoStuffBus pulls into Burgess Hill’s Church Walk on Thursday to host pumpkin-carving workshops for over-fives, with youngsters encouraged to come dressed in their scariest costumes.

The workshops run from 10am to 4pm and cost £1 per pumpkin. Anyone who produces a receipt from a town centre retailer dated October 31, 2013, will get in free.

Burgess Hill Library, in The Martlets, will host a Halloween storytime for three to seven-year-olds from 11am to 11.45am.

And shops in The Martlets Shopping Centre will be opening to young trick-or-treaters, who need to find pictures of pumpkins, cats or witches in their window displays before going in to ask for a sweet.
