Arundel By Candlelight
Arundel, Saturday, December 5, from noon, free, www.arundel.org.uk
WITH its castle, cathedral and beautiful town centre - which is mercifully free of many of the national chain shops - Arundel is always a fun day out.
But tomorrow is a particular delight as the whole town turns into a Christmas market, with shops, pubs and restaurants adorned by white lights.
This year’s event opens with children from the town’s primary schools leading a parade through the High Street, complete with Father Christmas and a live nativity scene.
Once the sun dips behind the horizon at 4.30pm there is a lantern procession culminating in the lighting of the Christmas tree donated by the Duke Of Norfolk’s estate, with live music throughout the day.
