This spectacular showcase will feature 15 graduates of the Vavavavoom School Of Burlesque showing off the tricks they have learned.

They will be joined by course tutors Stella Starr and Miss Honey Moon for some special performances. Live music will be provided by a trio drawn from the ranks of the phenomenal Dimestore Jive Revue band, with vocals courtesy of crooner Rory Cameron and Stella herself.

The host for the night will be "Brighton's answer to Terry Thomas", the inimitable Michael "Atters" Attree, and all the performers will join together for the grand finale.

The Vavavavoom School Of Burlesque is described as one of the most detailed and intensive courses of its kind in the country, covering all facets of stagecraft and cabaret performance, including the lost art of vintage striptease. It gives equal focus to encouraging confidence, creativity and creating a positive body image.

Vavavavoom is now in its tenth year and has pioneered the neo-burlesque movement with its fusion of theatre, music and dance. It quickly grew from humble beginnings to become a big draw on the festival and corporate entertainment circuits, developing into a large-scale theatrical troupe. The company now even has its own big band.

Plans for next year include new touring theatre shows and a tenth birthday extravaganza. The latter was originally scheduled to take place last month but will now be held at the Dome Concert Hall early in the New Year.

The organisers promise it will be their biggest party to date, with a "Hollywood or bust" theme, dazzling set pieces and a line-up of Vavavavoom favourites from the past and present.
