When she released Soviet Kitsch in 2004 Regina Spektor made music headlines for two reasons: her background and her celebrity testimonials. Now the Soviet-born star of the anti-folk scene doesn't need the kudos of her famous fans -The Strokes and the Kings of Leon - to boost her profile, she's got her talent.
The Bronx-raised singer's recent album Begin To Hope showcases her many remarkable gifts, from her street-smart songwriting and whimsical vocals to the piano fingers she earned through years of classical training.
