Massive Attack

Brighton Dome Concert Hall, Church Street, Monday, February 1

FIVE years on from their last Brighton show, Bristol trip-hop legends Massive Attack have announced a return visit to coincide with the release of a new album.

The band made their mark in 1991 with the classic Blue Lines album, home to the anthemic single Unfinished Sympathy.

The album was followed up by the equally stunning Protection in 1994 and Mezzannine in 1998, which was the last album to feature the original line-up of Del Naja, Daddy G and Mushroom.

Del Naja was behind 2003’s chart-topping 100th Window, but reunited with Daddy G for 2010’s Heligoland.

There are rumours that for their forthcoming sixth album the pair are once again working with Tricky, who last appeared on their Protection album.

If that weren’t enough this live show features the Mercury Music Prize-winning Young Fathers in support.

Doors 7pm, tickets £33.50. Call 01273 709709 on sale from 9am Friday, October 9.
