Albert Hammond Jr

WITH his 2006 debut Yours To Keep Albert Hammond Jr proved The Strokes wasn’t just about a certain Mr Casablancas.
And this year, with the release of his third album Momentary Masters, Hammond Jr’s output has easily outclassed the last three Strokes albums by some distance.
A collection of short, heartfelt but extremely infectious self-penned songs, and a Dylan cover, Momentary Masters is his first full-length release since 2008’s ¿Cómo Te Llama?.
It shows the now clean guitarist – and creator of The Strokes’ distinctive styling - has a mastery of melody and hooks that matches his sense of fashion.
