The Ramonas
Prince Albert, Trafalgar Street, Brighton, Thursday, December 10, 8pm, £10, 01273 606312
WITH all four of the original Ramones line-up now left us, it is up to the fans to keep the songs of the New York pioneers alive.
Originally formed in 2004 by Clare Product - guitarist in AntiProduct and former bassist with Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg - the all-girl tribute has undergone a series of line-up changes.
The UK line-up is currently based around vocalist Cloey Ramona, guitarist Rohnny Ramona, bassist Pee Pee Ramona and drummer Margy Ramona, who stay true to the everything-facing-the-audience, breakneck full-throttle attitude of the original CBGBs band.
Expect to hear the likes of Pinhead, Blitzkrieg Bop, Beat On The Brat and I Wanna Be Sedated in a new but extremely faithful light.
