Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2016
Glynde Place, Glynde, near Lewes, Friday, July 1 to Sunday, July 3
TICKETS are now on sale for Love Supreme Jazz Festival’s biggest line-up to date – including one of the greatest songwriters in the world and a 1980s style icon.
Among the legends set to grace the Glynde Place stage in July are Grace Jones, and Burt Bacharach, following his storming set at Glastonbury last year.
Also announced in this first wave of acts are the Prince-approved Lianne La Havas, multi-unit shifting popular jazz singer Caro Emerald, French chanteuse Melody Gardot, taste-making DJ Gilles Peterson and genre-busting US urban star Kelis.
"I'm thrilled to be returning to the UK this summer and performing at the Love Supreme Festival,” says Bacharach.
“I've heard great things about the festival and I'm looking forward to sharing my music in this beautiful setting with the stunning backdrop of Glynde Place."
The UK’s only major greenfield jazz festival is also welcoming some major names on the modern jazz circuit, including Kamasi Washington, Stanley Clarke, Ibrahim Maalouf and new jazz supergroup Scofield, Mehldau and Guiliana playing an exclusive UK show.
UK homegrown talent on the bill includes multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier, Mercury Music Prize-nominated trio GoGo Penguin, Average White Band, Liane Carroll and Anthony Strong, the Beats And Pieces Big Band, The Correspondents, Native Dancer, Partikel’s String Theory Quartet, Trope, Swindle, Amy Winehouse collaborator Femi Temowo with Engines Orchestra and MOBO Award winners Binker And Moses.
Weekend tickets from £110, day tickets from £54. Visit www.lovesupremefestival.com
