IT’S perhaps typical of how The Wave Pictures work that they spent songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Dave Tattersall’s birthday recording their new album A Season In Hull set up around just one microphone.
The band has a well-earned reputation for their live shows – which are based around a simple love of playing music, without any bells or whistles.
Previous visits to Brighton have seen them tackle a Daniel Johnston album and try to play their whole back catalogue – without repetition – over the course of three nights.
