"I reckon if Carl Jung had dug indie rock he might have quite liked Gravenhurst," says Nick Talbot, frontman of this euphoric space- rock band. It's a typically esoteric quote but it goes some way to explaining the band's appeal. "Exploring the relationship between conscious and subconscious", without falling into pretentiousness, they've got an ethereal sound powered by guitar rock and kept in check with elements of lo-fi pop. They come to Brighton touring their new album The Western Lands, the follow-up the highly- acclaimed Fires In Distant Buildings.
