Starting out as a four-track experiment by Icelandic-born Olafur Josephsson in 1999 after his college indie rock band broke up, Stafraen Hakon are now on their sixth album.
This is a chance to hear some of the new songs from the album Sanitas, which is officially released towards the end of February.
Josephsson’s last album, Gummi, saw him collaborate with the likes of Danish critical favourites Efterklang. His music occupies a similar world, using dense soundscapes and long jams that mix electronica and ambient guitars to create chunky walls of sound.
Support from Monsters Build Mean Robots and Men Diamler.
* Starts 8pm, tickets £6. Call Rounder Records on 01273 325440 or Resident on 01273 606312.
