The late poet and playwright Samuel Beckett is at the heart of pianist John Tilbury's Bexhill show tonight (May 21).
The show is set to open with Beckett's 25-minute radio play Cascando, followed by the 1977 TV film ...but the clouds..., before John performs some of the Nobel Prize-winner's poems and a solo piano piece inspired by Beckett's novella Worstward Ho.
The graduate of the Royal College Of Music has enjoyed more than 40 years recording and performing music, with notable works including performances of work by John Cage, Cornelius Cardew, Howard Skempton, John White and Morton Feldman.
