Reeves And Mortimer
Brighton Centre, King’s Road, Sunday, February 14, doors 6.30pm, from £29.50, 08448 471515
WITH Bob Mortimer now officially “fixed” after a triple heart bypass, this 25th anniversary celebration by the masters of the surreal can now go ahead.
The tour 25 Years Of Reeves And Mortimer: The Poignant Years will be the first time the pair have been on the road together since 1995. Eastbourne audiences got a sneak preview last month.
Expect to see some of their best-loved characters, ranging from Big Night Out’s Man With The Stick, to the folk legends Mulligan And O’Hare.
“Playing in front of a living audience is where it all began for us,” says Mortimer. “Some people feel most alive when they are e.g. on fire or in Turkey, but for us the stage is where we thrive.”
