One of the most influential modern playwrights and directors, Bertolt Brecht began to make his name against the backdrop of 1920s Germany, writing and occasionally performing satirical songs and skits with collaborator Kurt Weill in the cabaret clubs of Berlin and Munich.
He went on to pioneer the “epic theatre” style and is best known for plays including Mother Courage And Her Children and The Threepenny Opera.
In this new piece for Otherplace Productions, six actor/musicians perform short plays and poems by Brecht, accompanied by the celebrated music of Weill.
