He made talking nonsense into an art form, ran 43 marathons in 51 days to raise money for charity and is now considering a move into politics. But then Eddie Izzard never was a run-of-the-mill comedian.
After a break from the live circuit while pursuing a career in Hollywood, the whimsical, sometimes-transvestite made his triumphant return to the stage last year, with a 34-date tour of America.
After a sell-out West End run, he’s now bringing the show – Stripped – to Eastbourne for one night only.
