Police have released an efit of a man they want to talk to in relation to the sexual assault of a woman jogger in Brighton.

She was assaulted on Sunday at 7.35am.

The 26-year-old was jogging past the man in Upper Hollingdean Road when he sexually assaulted her by touching over her clothes. She shouted at him and he continued to walk up the road.

Detectives believe he is the same man who at 7.10am on Sunday tried to steal from a woman on the eastern pathway of The Level.

Detective Constable Gemma Holley said: "We have issued an image of the man who we believe is responsible for both offences and would appeal to anyone who recognises him to contact us.

"He's described as possibly of Asian/Arabic appearance, around 30 years old, approx 5'9'', of slim to medium build with short curly or wavy hair. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood, dark jeans and trainers.

"It is unclear what the motive was in each of these incidents. The man didn't threaten or speak to the women.

"We understand that incidents of this nature are very worrying and extra high-visibility patrols by Brighton and Hove Police will be taking place.” Call Sussex Police on 101.
