isnt it time badly parked cars were dealt with by Police before someone loses their life just so some driver can park immediately outside their house?

Sometime in the late 1960s residents with cars living in Rochester, Bute, and Hendon Street were asked to park their cars on Odd Numbered house sides on Odd Numbered days of the week - and on Even numbered sides on even days. This meant that ALL cars were parked on the SAME side of the street - and the emergency services always had access. It was something advised by the police - it made sense - and everyone complied with it. Now of course it's different.
