A museum will dedicate next year to a legendary British toymaker.

Brighton Toy and Model Museum has declared 2013 as “Frank Hornby Year” to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the illustrious craftsman’s birth.

He is best remembered for creating Meccano, Dinky Toys and Hornby Trains.

The museum has also received £34,400 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to put towards new interactive touchscreen displays and Frank Hornby educational material for visitors.
