Don't talk to me about staff in nursing homes. The one where I have current experience of should not even call themselves human beings.

I worked five years in Nursing home. And all the night staff, went to sleep when the residents where sleeping! You are paid to work, and have all day to sleep. Hope she does not win, her case. She had a duty of care, to look after the people she had been trusted to. Lazy women sleeping on the job!!

While this is totally unacceptable, I worked night shifts for a while and I was shocked at the number of women with babies and young toddlers who would doze on the sofa at home in the day looking after the kids and then go to work at night full time when their partners came home from work.
I worked with one lady who would average two hours sleep a day just so she and her partner could pay the rent.
