Queues in Newhaven after level crossing barrier fails

Commuting motorists are facing delays of up to an hour after a level crossing barrier failed.
Queues of up to two miles have been reported in Drove Road, Newhaven, after the incident at just before 7am this morning.
Bus services between Brighton and Eastbourne have been affected with bosses adding there are delays of an hour.

I thought they built a flyover over that crossing years ago?

Before the flyover was built, that was the busiest level crossing in western Europe in terms of road traffic.
