Three-car crash on A23 in Hassocks

First published in News

A three-car crash has caused tailbacks one of the county’s busiest roads.

Emergency services were called to the A23 at about 8.45am this morning following reports of a car colliding with the central reservation in Donkey Row in Newtimber, Hassocks.

A further two cars then collided into the vehicle.

A police spokeswoman said there are no reports of any serious injury.

She added traffic is reportedly “heavy and moving very slowly”.

The A23 doesn't go through Hassocks. Can anyone make any sense of the above article?

Yes so to be pedantic but the A23 is not in Hassocks, if anything it's arguably in or nearest to Pyecombe and Albourne but not really. Hassocks has the A273 running through it, I use it every day, is that what you mean Argus?

Emergency services were called at about 8.45am this morning following reports of a car colliding with the central reservation between Tates Garage and the Chalk Pits on the A23, very close to the location where some kids were killed a few years ago when the BMW they were in, flew over the barrier and hit a Land Rover Discovery travelling Northbound. We all know the camber is wrong on this part of the road but the authorities will still not do anything about it, despite it looking a harmless piece of road.
