A teenager was assaulted as she walked along the street.

The local woman was attacked in New Church Road, Hove, at 6.50pm on Friday (18).

She was walking west along the road when a man who had just come out of Westbourne Gardens came up behind her and touched her.

He ran off into Richardson Road. The woman was shaken but unhurt.

The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, of medium build, with dark eyes and a defined jaw line.

He had short brown hair and was wearing a black zip-up hooded top with dark-coloured trousers. He had a light-coloured satchel over his shoulder.

Anyone with any information about the incident should call Sussex Police on 101.
