Snow is set to fall again in Sussex with up to 5cm expected.

The Met Office has issued a yellow severe weather warning for snow from today until 10am tomorrow.

It said: "Outbreaks of sleet or snow will affect parts of southwest England and South Wales during Tuesday, extending to other parts of southern England and the south Midlands later.

"Where rain or sleet is currently falling, this is expected to turn increasingly to snow during this afternoon and evening, even at low levels.

"Some 2-5 cm of snow is expected quite widely."

The snow looks set to fall from about 3pm inland in places such as Burgess Hll, with more widespread snow to come by 9pm.

It will continue to fall into tomorrow morning but coastal areas are more likely to see sleet.

So I'm guessing the council knew about this when it was announced yet Woodingdean and many other areas turned to chaos with no signs of gritters anywhere. Well done guys. Glad to know you're doing such a sterling job.
