Four vehicles have crashed on the A27 causing major delays.

The incident happened  on the eastbound carriageway just before the Kingston roundabout at 5pm today.

Fire crews who attended the scene said two cars, a van and a coach were involved in the crash.

Initial reports suggest there is only one minor injury and no people were trapped in the vehicles.

The crash came just at rush hour and has left drivers moving only a few miles in an hour.

Traffic is reported to be backed-up as far as Falmer and motorists are advised to use alternative routes if possible.

I saw the traffic backed up to the Hollingbury turn off last night. Luckily I was going the other way.
