Cyclists performed indecent act in front of 19-year-old women

A cyclist pedalled up to a bus stop and performed an indecent act in front two 19-year-old women.

Police are searching for the man after the incident in Crawley on Sunday (March 3) at 8.30am.

The man, who is described as of Asian appearance, cycled up to the bus stop opposite the Thales Building in Manor Royal.

He stopped next to the two local women and carried out the indecent act in front of them.

The pair ran off and he pedalled after them before disappearing down London Road and then Martyrs Avenue.

Police searched the area but could not find him.

The suspect is described as being in his early 30s, 5'8", with short black hair, clean shaven and with round facial features.

He was wearing a grey puffa-type jacket with either red stitching or lining, blue jeans and brown boots. He was on a standard black or dark coloured bike.

PC Ellie Young, said: "This was a very frightening experience for the women and they are really upset.

“If anyone else saw what happened, or saw this man in the area, or knows who he is, we ask them to contact us via 101 quoting serial 0341 of 3/3.

“You can also call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

What's a 'standard' bike?!!?!
One that's normally being ridden on the pavement with no lights or bell, or one that fails to comply with traffic regulations.

Ride a bike AND perform an indecent act? This would involve multi-tasking and as all women know, we men aren't capable of this

It is unlikely that lights would be needed at 8.30am, and I think story implies, his bell was clearly on display

When my aunt was flashed, she said "Go away little man, my husband's is much bigger than that!!".
The bloke legged it.
Incidentally, I have read that cycling numbs those private areas, which might explain this chap's behaviour. And why cyclists are generally bad tempered...

Two women have just suffered what was a distressing experience and all you can do is use it as an opportunity to have a rant at cyclists.

Grow up and stop trolling.

Can someone clear up the mystery of the headline?

Was this a double exposure? Flashing in tandem as it were or just the singular perpetrator. More than a day has gone by without the ambiguity being sorted. Some of us have been preoccupied all day by this mystery.

A friend of mine has a fine retort to this sort of encounter. She always exclaims: "Put that nasty thing away and I will buy you a cup of tea" - they always flee.
