Is this inconsiderate parking or inconsiderate charging?
As the country’s first Green mayor, Bill Randall was gifted an electric vehicle by Renault to use in his civic role at Brighton and Hove City Council.
However, because a car was parked illegally in the special allocated bay during the Brighton Marathon, the mayor’s driver had to stretch the wire to another point when the vehicle was in need of a boost.
This meant other electric car users could not use the bay.
Brighton resident Ewan Cassidy sent us this picture, taken on Sunday, April 14, complaining the mayor was being “inconsiderate”.
But what do you think?
The local authority said there are currently eight electric vehicle charging points at four locations across the city – Withdean, The Level, Bartholomew Square and Madeira Drive.
