Friends of the Earth members and residents met as part of a clean British energy protest.
The free training event was to help protesters learn more about the controversial process of fracking at Clair Hall in Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath.
Senior energy campaigner Tony Bosworth was among experts helping residents to find out where fracking is happening and how residents could mount campaigns to prevent the process taking place on their doorsteps.
